Krauthammer: Cruz 'appeal has never been personal. Its always been ideological.'

Charles Krauthammer told viewers Thursday on “Special Report with Bret Baier” that when it comes to presidential candidate Ted Cruz and voters, “his appeal has never been personal. It’s always been ideological.”

“Cruz is not the warm and cuddly type,” Krauthammer said.

Krauthammer said that Cruz’ current argument that Trump is not a conservative isn’t likely to win him back any points.

“That’s what it all hinges on. It’s not a very strong argument in this particular year where the issues that divide voters is not ideology but insiderdom. How much are you inside, how much are you anti-establishment, and how populist are you?” Krauthammer said.
