I was buying an American flag at Walmart, comparing the prices, and I started thinking about the price of freedom and all that our flag represents. It’s silly to compare the $17.99 “rollback” price tag on the flag to how much it costs to represent the faith and freedom with which our country has been so richly blessed.

The freedoms we enjoy are priceless – and we have God and our Veterans, past and present, to thank for all the blessings we take for granted. It’s fitting that Veterans Day is in the same month as Thanksgiving – when we are able to pause and reflect on a portion of the things with which we’ve been blessed.

I will display my American flag that is technically 17 dollars and 99 cents, but let’s be honest, my American flag is priceless and I can look at it and know that it did not come without sacrifice – freedom isn’t free – and I don’t have the words to adequately express my gratitude, so I’m just going to leave you with this POWERFUL message from one of our Vets to the anti-Trump protesters/thugs burning the flag:

To our Vets, ‘Thank you! God bless you!’
