Newspaper to stop using name 'Redskins'
The San Francisco Chronicle has decided it will no longer use the name 'Redskins' when referring to the Washington, DC based NFL team. This follows months of scrutiny the Redskins have faced due to the team name and they have been under pressure from many groups--including fans, lawmakers and Native American groups--to change it altogether.
Team owner Dan Snyder has said in the past that they will "never"change the name of the team--
