A prominent African-American lawmaker -- isn't buying the White House explanation -- of Vice President Biden's remark to a Virginia audience last week -- that Republicans want to quote -- "Put y'all back in chains."

The Obama administration says it was a reference to figurative shackles around Wall Street -- not literal ones.
New York Democratic Congressman Charlie Rangel doesn't think so -- telling the Perez Notes this.

"Was he talking about slavery? You bet your ass he was. We he using a vernacular? Yes he was. Did he think it was cute because it was (inaudible)? Yes he did. Was it something stupid to say? You bet your life it was stupid."

President Obama has nearly 19 million Twitter followers -- compared with Governor Romney's 900,000.

However -- Mashable reports, a social media site has a new web tool finds a whopping 70-percent -- or 13 million -- of President Obama's followers -- are fake.

It says just 15-percent of Governor Romney’s followers are fake.

North Haven officials settled a zoning dispute that will allow 7-year-old Kayden Lidsky's pet bunny to stay.

A 50-year-old ordinance bans rabbits and other livestock on properties smaller than two acres.  

A city official says the ordinance will be changed.
