Bangs are back, but maintaining them can get expensive. We went to celebrity stylist Ryan Nickulas to find out how you can cut your expenses with an at-home trim. Follow his simple guidelines so you can skip the salon and get more bang for your buck!

Here's his 3 easy steps:

1. Clip your hair back on the sides to avoid accidental cutting.

2. Measure from iris to iris and only cut in between this area.

3. Begin cutting by holding the scissors vertically and snipping towards the hairline — you don't want to cut straight across.

Note: Nickulas does not recommend cutting your bangs if you do not already have them.
