Did Lindsay Lohan convert to Islam?

Dina Lohan is denying that her daughter Lindsay has converted to Islam after word quickly spread on social media that the party-girl-turned-activist had made the life change.

The fodder about LiLo’s religion began after the starlet deleted all her Instagram posts and left one message that read “Alaikum salam” – Arabic for “Peace be unto you.”

Many Muslim social media users congratulated the star and welcomed her into the faith.

But Dina Lohan told Gossip Cop that even though the message sparked conversion rumors, her famous daughter is simply taking a break for social media and opted to post a message in Arabic. A rep for the actress also told Gossip Cop, “She has not converted [to Islam].”

The conversion rumors don't come out of the blue. Lohan has shown an interest in Islam for some time. Back in April, her rep confirmed that she was exploring the religion after she told The Sun she was reading the Koran.

The actress, who was once best-known for her wild ways, has been visiting frequently Turkey as of late and spending time with refugees.
