Tom Cruise looks confused.

Ever the dedicated actor, Cruise continued working on the Iceland set of his new sci-fi film “Oblivion” over the weekend, despite being blindsided by his wife Katie Holmes’s divorce filing and request for sole custody of their daughter Suri, just a couple of days prior.

Early on Monday, the Oscar-nominated actor was shuttled to a small airport in Reykjavik, Iceland, to be flown to a filming location.

“He was clearly driven up to a helicopter, of which he boarded with staff doing their best to keep him unseen,” said a source.

But according to another source, Cruise, who turns 50 today, is conflicted about where he should be right now.

More On This...

Should he continue filming a movie thousands of miles away?

Should he be in New York where the papers were filed?

Or should he be in Los Angeles where he owns a lavish Beverly Hills estate and where his own high-powered attorney, Bert Fields, is based?

Fields told the Los Angeles Times on Monday: "We're thinking about (which divorce lawyer) to use. We have to discuss strategy."

But it looks like any face-to-face meeting will have to wait. We’re told the “Top Gun” star intended to return to Los Angeles late Monday evening, but abandoned his plans at the last minute.

“Tom hadn’t made up his mind where he wanted to go,” said the source connected to the Cruise camp.

A rep for the actor did not respond to a request for comment.

However,  it was business-as-usual for Cruise’s soon-to-be ex-wife on Monday, as Holmes was spotted all dressed up (sans her wedding ring) for a taping of Lifetime’s “Project Runway” in Manhattan.

"She was engaged, articulate and wonderful,” an insider gushed to People.com after the taping.
