Creed frontman Scott Stapp worried his family so much last month that they called 911 and begged law enforcement to put a psych hold on him.

A newly released 911 call reveals Stapp’s wife and sister-in-law called police to report the Creed singer was riding around shirtless on his bike, claiming to be a CIA officer with plans to assassinate President Barack Obama.

“He thinks he is part of the CIA. He thinks they are trying to kill him,” a woman TMZ identified as a family member of Stapp’s told police. “He has a bunch of paperwork in his backpack that he is a CIA agent and he was supposed to assassinate Obama.”

She added, “He thinks he is being trained by the CIA.”

The woman tells police Stapp is riding around with a backpack and “a bunch of tools,” and that he is mentally ill.

In November, Stapp posted rambling online videos on Facebook saying he was broke. He later deleted the videos.
