Lindsay Lohan wants to transform herself into one famous redhead.
The 30-year-old actress, who found fame as a child star in Disney’s 1998 remake of “The Parent Trap,” wants to put her natural red mane to use by starring as Ariel in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid.”
DID LINDSAY LOHAN CONVERT TO ISLAM?
“I will sing again, as #ariel #thelittlemermaid,” Lohan wrote on Instagram Saturday, as reported by New York Daily News.
She accompanied the caption with a side-by-side photo of herself and the underwater princess. “@disney approve that #billcondon directs it along with my sister @alianamusic singing the theme song for the soundtrack.”
“Also @kgrahamsfb plays Ursula,” she also wrote about her personal trainer Kristen Graham. “Simply because, she is the best. Take one. @disneystudios.”
By Sunday, she updated the caption to simply read “#thelittlemermaid.”
The New York Daily News also reported that Miranda will team up with Alan Menken, who composed the music for the original 1989 animated movie. Marc Platt, who is also working with Miranda on “Mary Poppins Returns,” will produce the reboot.
Chloe Grace Moretz was originally attached to play the lead role but dropped out in September.
