Celine Dion Loses Brother to Cancer Days After Husband's Death

Daniel Dion, Celine Dion's older brother, passed away from cancer on Saturday, just days after the singer's husband Ren Anglil also succumbed to the disease.

TMZ reports that Daniel was battling brain, tongue and throat cancer before passing away. His sister Claudette told Le Journal de Montreal, "He was ready and no longer suffers. It was serene." Daniel was one of Celine's 13 siblings.

Dion canceled her Jan. 16 and 17 Las Vegas show dates at Caesars Palace after her husband passed away. Her next scheduled show is set for Feb. 23. The singer has yet to make a comment about her brother's passing.
