Daniel Fleetwood doesn’t think he will live to see the upcoming “Star Wars” movie, so he's begging the head honchos behind the highly-anticipated Dec. 18 release to let him watch the movie early.
Fleetwood, a 32-year-old from Texas, has terminal cancer and is currently in hospice care at home. His bid to see “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” early has gone viral, with two of the film’s stars, Mark Hamill and John Boyega, showing their support.
The actors that play Luke Skywalker and Finn respectively both retweeted local news story about Fleetwood along with the viral hashtag #ForceForDaniel.
From his home, surrounded by “Star Wars” memorabilia, Fleetwood spoke to news station KPRC2 and explained his obsession with the film franchise. He said he has written fan fiction about the films and camped out for movie tickets in the past.
“I just love ‘Star Wars.’ I mean, with everything I got, I love ‘Star Wars,’” he said.
In July, Fleetwood’s oncologist estimated he had two months to live due to his aggressive and rare connective tissue cancer called spindle cell sarcoma. He has already surpassed his doctor’s expectations, explaining that he's holding on to try and see the seventh “Star Wars” flick, but he fears he's running out of time.
"Judging by how progressive the disease has gotten in the past two months, I really don't think that I'll be able to make it,” said Fleetwood, who wore a Darth Vader T-shirt for his TV interview.
Walt Disney Studios has yet to respond to the super fan’s request.
A rep for Disney did not immediately return FOX411’s request for comment.
