Diego Luna is heading to a land far, far away.

The Mexican actor has reportedly joined the cast as a rebel fighter to battle the Empire in “Star Wars: Rogue One,” Variety reported.

According to sources, Luna is in talks for a lead role alongside Felicity Jones, Riz Ahmed and Ben Mendelsohn, who will play the film’s primary villain.

Jones and Ahmed are reportedly also playing rebel fighters.

Disney nor LucasFilm commented on the casting.

“Rouge One” is the first live-action film in the “Star Wars Anthology Series” and it takes place between Episodes III and Episode IV, though it will be closer chronologically to “A New Hope.” It is set to be released on Dec. 16, 2016.

According to Variety, the cast is expected to be a large ensemble similar to “The Dirty Dozen.”

This film is the second “Star Wars” franchise expected over the next three years.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” aka Episode VII, will be released on Dec. 18, 2015. It will star several members of the original trilogy along with new cast members such as Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron and Lupita Nyongo as Maz Kanata.

“Star Wars: Episode VIII” is set to be released in 2017.
