In a press release issued on Wednesday, One Direction singer Zayn Malik officially confirmed his departure from the band. "Glee" actress Lea Michele revealed on Twitter that she and former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kate Upton will be starring together in a road-trip/buddy/sex comedy called "The Layover." However, it's not yet known whether the film will interrupted every five minutes for an unskippable "Game of War: Fire Age" commercial.
And finally, Sony Pictures announced on Wednesday their plans to release a fully-animated "Smurfs" movie in March 2017, probably figuring that a few more years is enough time for everybody to forget about the two live-action/computer-animated Smurf movies they released just a few years back.
