Original "Bachelorette" Trista Sutter has learned a thing or two since her days on television looking for love. She joined us in the FOX411 studio to chat about her book, “Happily Ever After: The Life Changing Power of a Grateful Heart.”

FOX411: Why do you think you have had a happily ever after unlike so many other "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" contestants?
Trista Sutter: One of the major things for us was moving to Colorado, and it was really what we did with our life after we met through the show, and just keeping our relationship as a priority in our lives, and being committed to it. And of course taking in the things that I think any married couple or soon to be married couple should do is focus on respect, trust and humor, and forgiveness, and faith and friendship. So, it’s about mixing all those things together and poof hopefully you have success.

FOX411: Are you going to watch the new season of “The Bachelor?”
Sutter: Always. I’m a loyal fan to the end if they ever will be an end.

FOX411: Do you have any advice for the new "Bachelor" Chris Soules?
Sutter: It’s really just enjoying the ride. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity so take full advantage of it but stay in reality. I kept a journal, and it really kept me in-tune with what I needed, and I think even writing things down or being able to talk to someone who’s more like a confidante, getting as much sleep as you can because you are run ragged like you’re going, going, going constantly. Know that it truly can end up in a fairy tale, and never give up hope.

FOX411: What is the secret to happiness?
Sutter: For me it’s gratitude. We’re releasing my book, “Happily Ever After,” in paperback at the end of December, and it’s on Amazon for pre-order. In the book I write about gratitude and how it can make your life happier if you embrace a thankful heart you actively and consciously utilize that every day, or at least try.
