“Star Wars” fans rejoice! Warwick Davis, the actor who played Wicket the Ewok in “Return of the Jedi” announced that he is joining the cast of director J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars: Episode VII.”

The 44-year-old Brit made the announcement in a hilarious video published on the official “Star Wars” YouTube channel.

The video shows Davis waiting by the phone for 17 months - during which he grows an impressive beard – before receiving a call from Abrams.

“I’ll be right there,” he joyfully says after getting the offer.

It’s not clear if he will be reprising the character Wicket, which he first played as a 12-year-old, or if he’ll be taking on a new role. The film is being shot at the Pinewood Studios set in England.
