NEW YORK – It may have been a while since you’ve seen “The Wonder Years’” Winnie Cooper on the small screen, but Danica McKeller, now 37, still looks like the same girl next door.
The UCLA graduate who played Kevin Arnold’s love interest on the 1980s comedy series is making her return to acting, bringing her familiar face back into our living rooms with a made-for-TV movie.

Her acting comeback “Love at the Christmas Table” premieres on Lifetime on Nov. 25, right before Lindsay Lohan’s “Liz & Dick.” On “Fox and Friends” on Friday McKeller described it as a family friendly movie to watch with your kids.
“It’s so Christmasy and fun,” she said. “[It’s] a great move to watch for the holidays.”
The movie will be McKeller’s first major role since she fell off the acting-radar after “The Wonder Years” ended in 1993.
McKeller has inched back into the acting world with guest roles on “How I Met Your Mother” and “The Big Bang Theory,” but for the most part, she has had been busy with mathematics these past years.
McKeller is a best-selling author, and she has written four books on math, making it her mission to give young girls confidence in the subject.
“When I went to UCLA and studied math it really gave me an opportunity to redefine myself and ground myself in something that gave me confidence from the inside out and that had nothing to do with the glamour of Hollywood.”
But now McKeller is ready to return to Hollywood scene, though only for the right roles. The mother said she would avoid doing anything too racy.
“There are characters that are sexist, and there are movies that are sexist,” she said. “There’s a difference.”
