Lindsay Lohan lied to cops last Friday when she told them she was not the person driving when her Porsche crashed into an 18-wheeler in Los Angeles, according to a report from TMZ.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Lohan could be prosecuted for lying to cops and as a result, her probation could be revoked. According to TMZ’s report, Lohan told police that she was a passenger in the car at the time of the accident and that her assistant was the one driving.

But Lohan’s assistant said later that Lohan was the one behind the wheel, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

Lohan’s rep told Fox411.com “we’re not commenting on this right now” when asked about the accusations.

Police will reportedly file a report with the claims she lied to cops, which is a crime. The lie could trigger a probation violation report in her shoplifting case, which could mean she will face jail time, TMZ reports.
