'Dexter' Star Julie Benz Welcomes TSA Pat Downs

Many have expressed outrage at the new Transport Security Administration (TSA) scanning procedures, which involve subjecting flyers to a full-body pat down or full-body imaging scanner before boarding a flight.

But “Dexter” starlet Julie Benz isn't complaining.

"The TSA employees are doing their job,” she told Pop Tarts. “I'd rather be felt up then have somebody get on a plane with a bomb.”

Benz also argued that while the decision to implement the new procedures may not be ideal, it is pivotal in this day and age.

“I think right now, unfortunately we live in a time where security on flights is very important. They're working it out. Is this the right choice? Who knows, but it is a choice, and I'd rather be safe then sorry,” she said. “If you want to feel me up, feel me up. I would hate to be on a plane where they didn't catch the guy when he was going through security."

“Inglorious Basterds” star Samm Levine also took to Twitter to share his personal experience with a pat down.

“So I opted out of the full body scan,” he wrote. “And during my pat down the TSA guy didn't touch my junk once. Not once!”
