Here's what everybody's talking about:

Earlier this week, Jessica Simpson Instagrammed a throwback photo from the 2010 Allure magazine spread where she wore no pants (below), probably to remind us about the time she posed for a 2010 Allure magazine spread where she wore no pants. At this point, she doesn't need much more reason.

Del Frisco's Steakhouse in New York City makes a mighty fine steak, but they also know their way around a double cheeseburger. Watch the video above to see how they prepare their mouthwatering burger, complete with prime beef, a buttery bun and their signature "sloppy sauce."

On Thursday, "Scorpion" star Katharine McPhee Instagrammed a photo of herself wearing a basic training uniform before filming a scene for her CBS show (below). Dare we say it, but if all our recruits were this adorable, there might be a little less conflict in this world.

In other McPhee news, the former "American Idol" finalist also modeled a stripey crop-top and skirt combo at an event in Beverly Hills on Thursday, showcasing a bit of her signature McPhee midriff — or, as we're going to start calling it, her "McMidriff."

Elle Fanning, however, wore a much skimpier crop top to the premiere of the new film "Young Ones," showcasing much more midriff than McPhee (below). She totally out-cropped McPhee's top.

Amanda Bynes was allegedly caught shoplifting on Wednesday from not one, but two different stores in New York City, perhaps because she was trying to break a previous record set by Winona Ryder or Lindsay Lohan.

According to a birth certificate obtained by TMZ, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have named their daughter Esmerelda. They've also given their child the middle name "Amada," as in, "Amada ideas. What should we call this kid?"

Jennifer Lopez just changes clothes in the middle of the street now, flashing her toned abs outside her gym in West Hollywood on Wednesday. Dressing habits aside, one has to wonder whether Lopez still needs her security detail. She's clearly got the defined, rippling muscles to handle herself.

Selena Gomez paid an unexpected visit to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles on Wednesday. However, it's unclear from the photos (see one below) whether the kids were disappointed that Taylor Swift wasn't there instead.

According to an English news publication, George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin may have purchased their own private island on the Thames river. If true, we assume George's decision was influenced — at least in part — by the fact that he can now officially refer to himself as "Lord Clooney."

Comedian, actress, and former "Saturday Night Live" castmember Jan Hooks died on Thursday at the age of 57. She'll no doubt be remembered by her family, her fans, and the tour groups she guided during her brief stint as an Alamo docent in the late '80s:

Longtime Oprah Winfrey pal Gayle King might have uttered the words "I'm gay" on a recent edition of "CBS This Morning" (below), but then again, maybe she didn't. And even if she did, she made it clear she was kidding. So if you still want to see it, here's King mumbling something of no real consequence:

According to multiple media outlets, Katy Perry has been chosen to serve as the half-time entertainment during Super Bowl XLIX, probably because NFL officials were quite impressed with her ability to chug beer and crowd-surf after college football games in Mississippi.

On Thursday, Kim Kardashian wore a futuristic-looking dress for an appearance at The Grove in Los Angeles. And as you might gather from the photo below, the future denizens of Earth will always appreciate a healthy dose of cleavage:

Gwyneth Paltrow hosted a fundraiser for President Obama on Thursday, where she reportedly told him, "You're so handsome that I can't speak properly." Perhaps she was just being nice, but we think she's trying to one-up her estranged husband Chris Martin, who recently began dating Jennifer Lawrence. Because c'mon — if she bags a sitting president, she wins.

And finally, Angelina Jolie met with Queen Elizabeth on Friday morning to receive an honorary damehood for her work to end sexual violence in war zones, and not, as some may have thought, for her underrated work in the 1995 comedy-action flick "Hackers." We hear the queen was a fan, though.
