Emergency services in eastern England and the U.S. Air Force say they are investigating reports of a plane crash near the Lakenheath air base.

Cambridgeshire Fire Services said two crew members had been called to the scene Wednesday.

Air Force spokeswoman Stephanie Longoria said the service was looking into reports that a jet crashed after taking off from a British air base, but she had no further information.
