Turbulence forces plane to make emergency landing in Montreal; 5 injured

MONTREAL (AP) — A United Airlines flight bound from London to Los Angeles has been forced to make an emergency landing in Montreal after hitting severe turbulence .

Six passengers were injured — including one who suffered a severe bone fracture, and a pregnant woman.

Five ambulances rushed to the plane as it touched down in Montreal, just after noon local time.

The local ambulance service says the operation went smoothly.
