Associated Press

Tata Motors says the Indian company's Managing Director Karl Slym has died while on a business trip to Bangkok, Thailand.

The statement did not state the cause of death, but the Press Trust of India news agency on Sunday quoted a company spokesman as saying that the 51-year-old Slym seemed to have fallen from a high floor of a hotel in Bangkok.

He was in Bangkok to attend a meeting of the board of directors of Tata Motors Thailand Ltd.

Slym joined Tata Motors in October 2012.
