Spanish police: 1 person wounded in shooting near downtown Barcelona hotel

Spanish police say one person has been wounded in a shooting in the downtown area of the city of Barcelona.

A regional police official says the shooting Tuesday took place in front of a hotel where the city's tourist-popular boulevard, Las Ramblas, intersects with Pintor Fortuny street. She was speaking on condition of anonymity in keeping with police regulations.
