South African graft case against Zuma adjourned to July 27

A corruption case against former South African president Jacob Zuma has been adjourned until July 27.

Judge Mjabuliseni Madondo said Friday that the case in the KwaZulu-Natal High Court will be moved from the South African city of Durban to Pietermaritzburg, which has bigger facilities.

Zuma, who resigned Feb. 14 on the orders of the ruling African National Congress party, faces charges of fraud, racketeering and money laundering.

The charges were reinstated this year after being thrown out a decade ago and relate to an arms deal in the 1990s, when Zuma was deputy president.

Zuma, whose presidency was marked by scandals, says he has done nothing wrong.
