Renault says its sales rose 9.4 percent in the third quarter as buoyant car markets in Europe helped offset declines elsewhere.
Renault said sales rose to 9.3 billion euros (US$10.2 billion) in the period, up from 8.5 billion euros a year earlier.
The French car maker said new registrations in its core Europe market rose 6.5 percent, underperforming the overall market which grew 9.8 percent. Renault blamed the underperformance on its low-cost Dacia brand. Renault-badged vehicle registrations rose 9.8 percent in the quarter.
The company said it's still on track to increase revenue and registrations this year, despite emerging markets that it said would be "adverse and volatile" in the fourth quarter.
