JOHANNESBURG (AP) — Nelson Mandela's office says a relative was driving the car in which the anti-apartheid leader's great granddaughter was riding when she was killed in a crash.

Sello Hatang, spokesman for the Nelson Mandela Foundation, said Saturday the man was a relative, but that he could not be more specific. The man has not been named.

Hatang also says plans have not yet been completed for 13-year-old Zenani Mandela's funeral.

Police say the man could be charged with drunk driving and homicide after the accident early Friday, as Zenani was returning home from a World Cup concert.

Police spokesman Govindsamy Mariemuthoo said Saturday the man, who is not being held, could appear in court in a few days.

Mandela did not attend the World Cup opening ceremony and first game.
