Poll: Brazil gov't ratings stay at record high

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff's government has retained record-high approval ratings.

That despite a corruption trial focusing on her ruling Workers Party.

A Datafolha poll published Tuesday in the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper shows Rousseff's government with a 62-percent approval rating — a statistical tie with an April Datafolha poll.

Rousseff has been mostly untouched by the corruption trial.

Former high-ranking members of her party and others are accused of orchestrating a scheme to bribe legislators for support during the first term of former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

But Rousseff is seen as being tough on corruption. She's forced out seven of her ministers who have faced allegations.

The poll questioned 2,562 people across Brazil and has a margin of error of 2 percentage points.
