Published November 17, 2014

BERLIN (AP) — German police say a flight from Latvia has safely landed in Berlin after authorities received a bomb threat while it was en route from Riga. They say the threat appears to have been a hoax.

Federal police spokesman Jens Schobranski said Friday that German authorities were informed by their Latvian counterparts they had received an anonymous tip that a bomb was on board the Air Baltic flight at around midday.

He said the plane was taken to a special security area of Tegel airport after landing and the passengers were all questioned.
