Police have identified a body found of Sydney's Bondi Beach as American student Endicott Ackerman, who became the fourth person killed in recent storms on the Australian east coast.
The 20-year-old University of Sydney student from Clifton, Virginia, was last seen on June 6 jumping from rocks into the storm swell.
Police said in a statement on Wednesday they used dental records to confirm that a body found off Bondi over the weekend was Ackerman.
Three other people died during the storms. Two men drowned in vehicles swept off roads by floodwaters in New South Wales. Another man drowned after floodwaters flipped his truck in the Australian Capital Territory.
