Police: Gunmen kill 2, leaves 1 wounded, in Sodertalje in central Sweden

STOCKHOLM (AP) — Gunmen shot and killed two men and wounded a third person in the central Swedish city of Sodertalje early Thursday, police said.

Police spokeswoman Bjorn Engstrom said the men were shot at a location used for card games in the Ronna area of the city, which is about 30 kilometers (18 miles) south of Stockholm.

He said police are searching for two or three gunmen. A scooter they used in their getaway was later found burning nearby.

The wounded man was hospitalized and is in a stable condition, Engstrom said.

He would not give any more details about the victims because they have not been fully identified yet.
