Magnussen wins men's 100m freestyle world gold

Australia's James Magnussen defended his men's 100m freestyle title at swimming's world championships on Thursday with James Feigen of the USA second and Olympic champion Nathan Adrian finishing third.

Magussen, who was beaten on the wall by Adrian of the USA at the London 2012 Olympic final, clocked 47.71secs, with Feigen at 0.11s back and Adrian 0.13 adrift.
