Published May 21, 2015

Associated Press

Police say a knife attack at a train station in southern China has left nine people injured and that police officers have fatally shot a suspect.

A statement by police in the city of Guangzhou says police captured another suspect involved in the Friday morning attack at a railway station in the city of Guangzhou.

The statement said the attack was still under investigation and that a motive had not been determined.

A knife attack at a train station in the southern city of Kunming about a year ago claimed 29 lives. Authorities blamed separatist terrorists from the western province of Xinjiang.
