The Israeli and German leaders are acknowledging they don't see eye to eye over how to deal with Iran's nuclear program.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu believes dismantling the program is the best way to prevent Iran from developing an atomic bomb. The six world powers negotiating with Tehran, including Germany, have demanded significant cuts in its nuclear program to slow any push for a weapon.

Netanyahu said allowing Iran to continue to enrich uranium is "a mistake." He made the comments at a press conference Tuesday with visiting German Chancellor Angela Merkel, a key ally. Merkel said continued enrichment was not ideal but allowed for negotiations meant to roll back Iran's nuclear program.

Israel sees Iran's nuclear program as a threat. Iran insists the program is for peaceful purposes.
