ICC staff members detained in Libya released

International Criminal Court staffers held in Libya have been released as the head of the court apologized to the Libyan government.

The head of the court, South Korean judge Sang-Hyun Song, promised on Monday an investigation into allegations that the detailed staffers shared documents that could harm national security with Muammar Qaddafi's imprisoned son Seif al-Islam Qaddafi .

The staffers were accompanied the judge and Libya's deputy foreign minister inside a local military council in the western town of Zintan. The deputy foreign minister, Mohammed Abdel-Aziz, said the staffers will leave to Tripoli and then Italy later in the day.
