Black smoke rises over Mogadishu airport after cargo plane's runway mishap, official says

An airport official says that a cargo plane full of weapons has run off the runway in the Somali capital, and black smoke is rising over the area.

It wasn't immediately clear if the accident was a full-fledged crash or some other type of accident.

An airport official said the plane involved was a cargo plane full of weapons from Ethiopia. The official insisted on anonymity because he is not an authorized spokesman.
