Belgium's prime minister says life is returning to normal in Brussels two weeks after the suicide bombing attacks that killed 32 victims in the airport and the subway system.

Prime Minister Charles Michel told foreign and Belgian reporters Wednesday that a third of the daily flights at Brussels Airport should resume by the weekend. He said full service will be restored in the Brussels Metro system as soon as possible.

The Belgian prime minister told journalists in English that "our key message today is we return to normal life in Brussels and in Belgium."

The March 22 attacks in the Belgian capital, the most lethal in Belgium since World War II, were claimed by the Islamic State extremist group.
