Woman in Hawaii love triangle pleads guilty in premeditated killing of Army medic's wife

Published May 03, 2016

Associated Press

A woman in a Hawaii love triangle says she stabbed the wife of the Army medic she was having an affair with and then waited a half-hour to make sure she was dead.

Ailsa (ah-LEE'-sah) Jackson pleaded guilty to murder Thursday. She's expected to be sentenced to 30 to 33 years in prison in exchange for testifying against Sgt. Michael Walker.

Jackson says she met Walker online. She says they discussed making Catherine Walker's death look like a burglary or having her drink something.

Prosecutors say Jackson stabbed a sleeping Catherine Walker multiple times with a kitchen knife in the Walkers' Honolulu military home.

Michael Walker's defense attorney Birney Bervar says his client's relationship with Jackson was purely sexual. He says Walker loves his wife and didn't want her killed.
