United Airlines flight returns to Boston with 'hydraulic issues'

Published January 13, 2015

Associated Press

A United Airlines Boston-to-Denver flight with a hydraulic problem has returned to Logan International Airport and landed safely.

Airport spokesman Phil Orlandella says the Airbus 320 single-aisle jetliner landed late Thursday afternoon and was towed to a gate. He says Flight 765 had 144 passengers and five crew members aboard.

United Airlines spokesman Mike Trevino says there were "some indications of hydraulic issues."

He says the pilot didn't declare an emergency. He says passengers were put on other flights.

United and Continental airlines merged in 2010 into United Continental Holdings Inc., based in Chicago.
