Students urged to stay inside as Central Connecticut State responds to undisclosed emergency

Central Connecticut State University is urging students to remain indoors due to a campus emergency.

The New Britain university's website urged people Monday to get inside buildings and stay there.

University spokesman Mark McLaughlin declined to disclose the nature of the emergency. He says there is an emergency and police are urging officials to alert everyone on campus to get inside.

New Britain police did not immediately respond to requests for comment and no further details were immediately available.
