South Carolina police say four middle school students are charged with possession of child pornography, and deputies say a fifth student is charged with criminal sexual conduct in connection with the same case.
Greer police said in a statement released Wednesday that an alleged sexual assault occurred over the weekend at a private residence in Greenville County. The statement says several students conducted a Facetime call that another student recorded.
It says one student sent the video to others. When Riverside Middle School students shared the video Monday, one of them told a counselor. Police say about 10 cellphones have been seized from students.
Greenville County deputies say the fifth student is charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Police say four are students at Riverside. Greenville County deputies don't identify a school for the fifth student.
