Sheriff says Georgia man facing charges in deaths of wife, 4 others 'could be anywhere'

Officials in west Georgia say a 26-year-old man killed five people, including his wife and other family members, in their home, and it took authorities several days to find their bodies.

Troup County Sheriff James Woodruff said Monday that he has arrest warrants charging 26-year-old Thomas J. Lee with malice murder. The victims were found late Saturday at their suburban home. Investigators suspect they were killed Wednesday. The sheriff says the delayed discovery means the suspect "could be anywhere."

The dead were identified as Lee's wife, 33-year-old Christie Lee; her 16-year-old daughter, Bailey Burtron; and the slain woman's parents, 69-year-old William Burtron and 68-year-old Sheila Burtron. Also killed was a family friend, 18-year-old Iiaonna Green.

The home is about 80 miles southwest of Atlanta, near the Alabama state line.
