Rocket launcher, Tommy gun among weapons seized from California home

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Police in California were investigating Saturday after a major cache of weapons was found in a Sacramento home.

The arsenal included an assault rifle, multiple handguns and shotguns, a Tommy gun, a rocket launcher, and several hand grenades, as well as ammunition, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The weapons were found Wednesday, police said. Some of them were hidden behind a false wall inside the house.

Sacramento's Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit was called to the scene to ensure safety as police seized the guns.

The name of the homeowner has not yet been released.
