Robbers steal new 'Call of Duty' video game in Md.

Published November 17, 2014

Associated Press

Authorities in northeast Maryland say robbers have stolen more than 100 copies of the highly anticipated "Call of Duty: Black Ops" video game, which doesn't go on sale until Tuesday.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office says at least two men were involved in the robbery, which was timed for when the GameStop in Bel Air was about to close Saturday night.

The men, who were armed with guns, stole four cases full of the "Black Ops" game, which is the latest in the popular "Call of Duty" series. Cash and video game systems were also taken.

Sheriff's office spokeswoman Monica Worrell says anyone who has the game before Tuesday shouldn't have it and asked residents to call authorities if they're offered copies of the game before it's released.
