Prosecutors want inquiry into Zimmerman defense attorney's ice cream photo

Prosecutors are asking a judge in the George Zimmerman trial to conduct an inquiry into an Instagram photo that was posted by the daughter of a defense attorney.

Prosecutors filed the motion Monday in response to a photo defense attorney Don West's daughter posted last week.

The photo shows West with his daughter holding up ice cream cones. The caption reads "We beat stupidity celebration cones."

The prosecution motion says the photo was posted after West's often tense cross-examination with prosecution witness Rachel Jeantel. Jeantel was on the phone with Trayvon Martin in the moments before he was fatally shot by Zimmerman during a fight.

Zimmerman is pleading not guilty to second degree murder, claiming self-defense.

Prosecutors say an inquiry is necessary to make sure witnesses are treated with respect.
