Prosecutors: DNA links suspect to DC mansion slayings

Prosecutors say five items in a mansion where a couple, their son and their housekeeper were killed have DNA evidence linking the man accused in the slayings.

Thirty-five-year-old Daron Dylon Wint is charged with multiple counts of murder and other crimes in the May 2015 slayings in Washington. He has pleaded not guilty.

Investigators said earlier Wint's DNA was found on pizza crust at the house. They haven't said where the other DNA was found.

The Washington Post reports (http://wapo.st/2eECiYW) D.C. Superior Court Judge Jose Lopez said Friday that Wint's trial would not be held until 2018, in part because of massive amounts of forensic testing the defense needs to sort through.

Police discovered the bodies after firefighters responded to a blaze at the home.
