Police take bike from home where missing NJ girl's body recovered

Published November 20, 2014

Associated Press

Police have found a bicycle matching one a New Jersey girl was riding the day she disappeared.

The bike was taken Tuesday from a property in the town of Clayton where 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale's (pas-KWAHL-eez) body was found in a recycling container the night before.

The girl had left her family's home on a white BMX bike Saturday afternoon.

Neighbors tell The Associated Press there is a boy in the neighborhood known to steal bikes.

Authorities have not said how the girl died, and there have not been any arrests.
