Police shoot man wanted for questioning in woman's slaying

Published October 28, 2016

Associated Press

Police have shot and wounded a man wanted for questioning in the killing of a South Florida woman.

Local news outlets report that 65-year-old Vicki Feeley died after she was attacked during a robbery outside her Kendall home Saturday. Investigators confirmed Thursday that she was run over by a vehicle.

Police say officers spotted what they believed to be the vehicle involved in the crime in a Florida City trailer park on Wednesday.

Police say the driver rammed an officer's patrol car when officers approached the vehicle. That's when police opened fire, hitting the unidentified man. He was taken to the hospital, where police say he's expected to survive. The races of those involved haven't been released.
