Police seek suspect in slaying of co-worker at city depot

Published March 04, 2016

Associated Press

Police are seeking the public's help in the search for a Baltimore public works employee wanted in the fatal shooting of a co-worker at a city maintenance depot.

Authorities on Friday issued the plea for help in finding 47-year-old Cipisirono Cole, the suspect in the killing at a Department of Public Works facility a day earlier. Police say Cole faces several charges, including first- and second-degree murder.

In a written statement, police said officers who responded to a report of a shooting at the facility on Thursday morning found 34-year-old Darrin Ulysses Johnson Jr. in a locker room area, shot several times. He was pronounced dead at Shock Trauma. Police said an argument between the co-workers turned physical and Cole got a gun. Police say he shot Johnson and fled.
