Police: Officers are responding to a shooting at a Florida mall, 'have control of situation'

Police in central Florida say they are responding to a shooting at a mall.

The Melbourne Police Department tweeted Saturday morning that officers were "currently working a shooting" and "have control of (the) situation" at the Melbourne Square Mall.

Police say the mall was temporarily closed.

Additional information was not immediately available. Messages left by The Associated Press for a police spokesman were not immediately returned.
