Police: Man suspected in dad's killing found dead with wife

Authorities say a man suspected of killing his father in northeast Florida was found dead with his wife at a central Florida motel.

Local news outlets report that police found 41-year-old Joseph Reddock Jr.'s car at a Regency Inn on Thursday morning after serving an unrelated warrant.

Police say they spent three hours trying to contact Reddock before sending a Volusia County bomb robot into his room, where they found him and his wife dead. It wasn't clear whether the deaths were a murder-suicide or separate suicides.

Besides the bodies, the room was also filled with rifles, pistols, a shotgun and several boxes of ammunition.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office had put out a murder warrant for Reddock after finding his father dead Monday during a well-being check at his Ponte Verde home.
